My Profile

Fish Care

Welcome to our Freshwater Tropical Fish Care Page.

My name is Tom Meador, owner of Rainforest Farms International.  I have been breeding Discus Fish now for twenty years and have developed various color morphs, which have proven to be very robust, beautiful and breed true. Solid yellow discus - Lemon peel Alenquer, Snakeskins, Tefe X Red Dragon,Marlboro XLeopard, Solid Reds, Red royals, Opal turquoise to name a few of my Genetic creations.

Discus fish are the main focus of my hatchery, but I also breed different species of Rainbow fish, Tetras, Catfish, Angelfish and numerous other species of freshwater tropical fish.  I am also an expert with freshwater aquariums and I sell aquarium plants, tropical fish food and other freshwater aquarium supplies.  Read some of my articles below on great tips for taking care of your freshwater tropical fish.
